Just confirming if the Bright Red paint on my 1990 is single stage. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Pretty sure you are dealing with a base/clear coat. Single stage was out of vogue quite some time before 1990 If I recall correctly.

Not sure if Bright Red is a single stage paint? But, it's
a well known fact that red ZR-1s are the fastest! 🏁

Eric,
Did a bit of research on your paint question. I was told that in 1990 the paint would have been a 2 stage urethane with a clear top coat.
Got this from 2 sources that should know. Hope they are correct!

It's rather simple understand if the paint is a single stage or had a clear coat. Take a little abrasive paste on a cloth and use it on a little part of your panels...if the cloth became red, the paint is single stage.
On my red 1990 is not single stage and i think it's original paint, because is a low mileage car
