I'm tired of searching for my "clicker" to open my gate/garage door.
I remember in the past someone offering a HomeLink type visor.
I'm looking for either this built-in or SMALL clip on module.
What do you guys have/use?
TIA!
Ted

Mine is Velcroed to the carpet in the console. Adhere the loop side to remote and voila

I have the home link visor I bought it from ecklers a long time ago. However for many years I just velcroed it above the mirror. As I use nothing but chamberlain belt driven garage door openers for my three doors the rectangle opener fits up there nicely.
Why do I use belt driven door openers? I remember my buddies 67 Shelby Mustang underneath a sprocket and chain unit that broke and flopped and trashed the top of his roof until the chain and sprocket fell onto the roof of his car. Needless to say the top of his car required a total respray.
Belt is the only way to go if you want quiet and because of this lesson learned the hard way. When I moved in all three units were immediately replaced. GC

I keep my remote in the console as well, clipped to one of the cassette dividers.
Anybody seen the new screw-drive openers? They're pretty nice.

Mine is simply held on with standard visor clip.
As for garage door openers, the lift master shaft opener is the only way to go when you have single doors for each bay. Nothing overhead. Really cleans up the ceiling and makes enough room to stack two cars with a lift.

1- Buy a used sun visor from a C-5 with Homelink.
2- cut the visor fabric and remove the Homelink transmitter and wire assembly
3- CAREFULLY make a cut in your sun visor, and using the old C-5 visor as a guide, make the appropriate holes and cuts on your C-4 visor.
4- feed the wire through and connect it to the visor vanity mirror light wires
5- put it all back together.
You now have Homelink in your ZR-1.

p.s.
Went with the liftmaster and high lift door rails in 2005.
added a second when the 2nd lift was added.
Those liftmasters are indeed the best!

Liftmaster and Chamberlain are pretty much the same.. for the tall stalls with Lifts the Jack Shaft openers are a good option.
As for Belt drive, that is all I have as well.. this week I have a Liftmaster\Belt Drive\WiFi\Battery Backup With Camera

Yep they are almost identical only option I don't have is the camera to that list lol. They even offer "wraps" for the units lol. All it need is a rotisserie option next. lol

Ted here is mine opener velcroed on the roof header above the mirror and you can see the home link visor buttons in the reflection as well. You don't need to pull the remote it works fine from there. GC
