Hi folks
Looking for the old R-D Racing Cross-Bar. This is the one that goes across the car, behind the seats. Looks like this:

I?ll need to check but pretty sure I have a spare Cross Bar. I?m in the middle of a move but will be over at the new house tomorrow. It did not come with mounting hardware when I bought it.

Hi Eric
I built my own a while back and it bolts in at the upper seat belt bolt and also at the roof carrier mounting points. ( 4 points of attachment ) I am pretty sure I still have your number so I can send you pictures of it. The main bar meets the thickness requirement though I have not drilled a small hole in it so the tech guys can check it. I sold my Z so I can't take a picture of it when installed. My car was a 91 and I believe the distance to the mounting points is the same as yours.

Awesome!
Thanks

Excellent! Looking forward to it.

Check out Exotic muscle. They have a bar. RK appears to just do engines now. Brey Krause system looked excellent and you can retain stock seat and belts with appropriate brackets. Bolts in to existing points. Should stiffen the car some too.

As GoldCylon and Young1 mentioned, the Brey-Krause is an outstanding, high quality product and top-notch as far as I am concerned. I had the Hardbar and replaced it with BK. Here are some photos of my install if it helps.

Brey-Krause bars have the loops for the harness and the bracket on the side and front of the seats for 6 point. Very clean and allows use of stock seat belt.

I am saving up for the BK system. I will use a 5 point and wrap the submarine belt on the seat bar in front rather purchase the floor bracket. It will be a grand all done with driver harness. The passenger side is all set up as well. Just 200 got another harness. I will use the stock seat.

If you seriously need a 5 pt harness system for racing, your stock seats are no bueno.
You need slots in the seat back (see Craig's photo, post #10) or the shoulder straps
are spread too far apart. When needed, you might not be restrained and shoot out
the top or forward. And ideally, a slot in the seat bottom is best for the submarine belt.
Be safe!
PS: Craig, you have a 6 pt restraint? What goes between the (2)
submarine straps? ;)
Oh, your coffee cup!

[emoji38] Hey Ted, You know I am all about custom everything, right? I had a custom athletic cup with quick release from the 6 pt harness to protect the family jewels. But I do have a coffee cup holder. In fact, I bought the dual coffee cup holder so you are all set if you ride with me and you can bring your Starbucks! [emoji23] [emoji12]

I have a spare stock seat I plan to modify. Yes straps must be together.
3 year bump on the R-D Racing bar too. I now have a US shipping address, so the mail part is easier.
Another few months. Another bump.
