I am in the process of getting my ZR-1 out of a 20 year hibernation where it largely served as a 3,500 lb. paperweight and garage ornament.

As part of that process I want to 'refresh' the various systems that may need some help. Based on symptoms that I have posted about in a few other forum locations, below is a parts list that I am planning to order. These will be installed by me and my mechanic (mostly my mechanic) and I want to make sure I get everything I need and the right parts so that we can get her roadworthy as soon as possible. Probably not going to buy some of these until needed, but want to make sure I have the right part numbers.

1994 Corvette ZR-1

Brakes (odd sticking issue when warm)

- Brake Lines (can't seem to find correct part yet). Plan is to replace the original brake lines with new ones.
- Brake Fluid - 1 qt. (Valvoline VCL 601458)

Engine (power and sometimes all throttle response disappearing in valet and full power modes)

- Serpentine Belt (old one is dried out and cracking)(Goodyear 4060805)
- Fuel Filter (GM GF652)
- Fuel Pumps x2 (Bosch 69225 or Delphi FE0114)
- Plenum Gasket (Jerry's Gaskets #10168684)
- Injectors (FIC 17109952)

How does this list look?

Are there other parts that should replace while working on some of these? Maybe vaacum sensor, a hose or two, brake pads, spark plugs?
Hoping that the above items make my car purr like a kitten?well until I get around to the stereo amps and headlight motors, and tires (only about 6 years old but still needed).

Rebuild all calipers, replace brake master cylinder, install SS brake hoses, replace clutch master and slave. If you parked it 20 years ago those are 27 years old rubber parts. And a new set of tires too. All this rubber equals safety, safety, safety. And shine up starter solenoid contacts while in there. Pull pumps out of tank. You may have to replace the entire assembly. Bringing these out of hibernation is not a simple process as you understand. Make it safe before you make it run well.

Thank you Jerry, you are awesome. One question. I am reading that if I need to replace the fuel pumps, there are some clips that people recommend I upgrade to and that they are sold on your site?

Thank You.

You got me on the clips. I can't think of what that might be.

I am going to take a stab in the dark here that maybe you meant some stainless steel clamps that Jerry sells?

But having said that there is a plastic Y that carter200 makes a replacement billet piece you should consider while you are in there. Apparently the plastic is brittle and will eventually break and leak to lose fuel pressure etc.

Correct, I referring to the clamps. A few posts had recommended adding the clamps when changing out the pumps due to the fragile nature of the plastic ones.

My $.02 on plug wires:

If you're not wildly concerned about originality, I highly recommend Magnecor ignition wires "while you're in there." They are hard to beat and unless you're looking close they look nearly factory. I went with their KV85 wires P/N 85161.

OK, those are worm gear, SS hose clamps. I don't stock those as they are commonly available at any local parts store.
