The passing of my parents

Hi all.Some of yall over the years may have met my mom and dad while on one of the Mountain Runs or other events. Unfortunately mom passed away on July 3rd and was buried on her bday on the 8th.as if that wasnt bad enough, Dad passed away last Monday and was buried yesterday on the 23rd. They enjoyed the time spent here with everyone they met and the cars as well. As for me, Im doing ok I suppose.havent had time to grieve because Im busy trying to get everything in order. That being said, as much as Id like to be more involved in activities this year, it probably wont be possible.but be rest assured I?ll damn well be trying to attend something with you all next year.

So sorry to hear of your parents passing so close. I feel with you, between Feb. and May I lost two in laws, my father and a friend. I was honored to speak from God?s word for three of them. Gary and I were just talking about you and your Dad yesterday. I have affairs to take care of on two of them at this time. Take time off from work as you need to. The majority of we forum members are at time in our lives we have had to step in to care for our parents. It is not easy. Rejoice in the memories and legacy they have left with you to carry on. You are among friends.

This is a tough time in your life and rest assured you will be fine. Try to keep yourself busy with activities but you will at some time need to take a few moments to yourself to grieve. You will think of them from time to time and that is normal.
Sorry for your loss. Be sure to stop, take a breath and reflect on the good times you had with them. It does help??

Sincere condolences. It?s a tough loss to get over, but you?ll still remember the time spent with them and they will appear in your dreams from time to time. That has been my experience.
