Take heart, LT5 (90-95) enthusiasts! This should interest anyone that questions the performance potential of (especially) the in block single cam/pushrod architecture and the advantage of the DOHC architecture.
Enjoy!!

Now I know what that weird sounding Mustang that blew by me (I was in my Tundra!) was.
Appreciate the share!
I daily drive a 480hp Coyote, so I do get to compare the two regularly. The Coyote is just a magical piece of technology. 480hp, runs on regular gas, and I have gotten over 30mpg on the highway.
However, the LT5, even 100 hp down, has a magic that the Coyote lacks.

I had an 'expert' at a cruise nite ask me why I put a Mustang motor in my Corvette!
4 cam V8s sorta look alike?

Very cool video and enjoyed hearing about the Ford engines. They have really stepped their game up. Found this gem in the comments as a response to someone mentioning GM being ahead of the curve with the ZR-1 -
Chevrolet Didn't get the kinks worked out of that engine that's why they went away from it. From cooling issues to crankshaft problems. Most everything overhead cam GM ever did was crap. From the Z34 Lumina's to the ZR1. Yeah they ran but for how long? GM Is not willing to spend the time to figure them out.

OMG! And that?s not the worst of it. You must take a quick scan of the stuff on CF forum for C8Z06. DOHC have no torque and need to be wound up like a bad watch. My response to that is ?if you want low end torque buy a diesel or a Tesla?. And they weigh too much, as if the LT4 w a fat assed SC sitting at the very top of the motor didn?t add weight and raise the CG on that motor. Not to mention the added weight required for all the intercoolers etc. Some have commented that the C7ZR1 was actually a ?makeup? for the Z06. I?m glad we got another generation of ZR and await an ME version.
