I purchased a used set of wheels from another ZR1.net member and they just arrived @ Nu Wheel in Tuscon, AZ
Once they are complete, I'll include the after pics. I've heard good things about them...

I received this pic from Nu Wheel, yesterday. The four wheels have been media blasted and they are currently polishing the outer lips. After that, they will color the pockets and add the clear coat.

Wheels arrived and they are beautiful, except one. The shipper customized it but, no worries...wheel is already on its way back and they said it would be repaired and returned quickly.

Very nice other than the damaged wheel. How the hell do they do that? Let me guess it was the brown guys?

The fellow that delivers to our house is a great guy AND a Corvette enthusiast. Stuff happens and this too shall pass.
Nu Wheel has been great to work with and I recommend them.
$150/wheel plus $215 total shipping from AZ to KY.
Regards,
Mark

It is just a material thing that can be repaired or replaced. Good to hear you are getting it resolved.

The wheel I returned to Nu Wheel in Tucson, was scheduled to arrive last Monday. I received an email that informed me the wheel had been sent to the wrong address and was currently in Massachusetts. They went on to tell me the delivery to Tuscon would be delayed by a week.
Oh well, as long as it gets there and makes it back to me damage free...this too shall pass😁

Left rear restored wheel mated with 1,500 original mile Garorback. LTPWS installed and one of Joel's reproduction decals in place. Original Piedmont valve stem cap. Correct wheel weights will be added, later.
Of course, due to the age of the tire(s), this will be for static display only...

Wow. Those look amazing. My 4800 miles wheels look good but they don?t have that pop. I haven?t really done anything to them because of the clear coat. How can I get mine to look like that.

Send them to Nu Wheel or a similar restorer. If yours have 4,800 original miles, it would (most likely) be best to leave them alone.

Wheels look great! Sorry about the damage. I wonder if they would strip my chrome sawblades? No one locally (Baltimore) would do it.
