This just means we have to pay extra for cats that most of us will never use.
Great...

The left coast mania is here in Virginia also. MY 91 is emmision exempt, but still must pass a visual state inspection as part of the safety inspection each year.
Sending it to Haibeck next week to review. Not sure if I'll do headers if he can get them.

These are the headers I want. Looks like I'll have to place order in near future.

From what I understand it is more with the test pipes in place of cats.. not sure headers is in that mix..

I talked to SW and they wont sell headers without cats.
Even placed an order with Ecklers yesterday only to have it cancelled today because ?item was discontinued?
Ordered a set through Haibeck since he ceramic coats them, deburrs them and also supplies all the hardware, etc needed for install.
Marc said he could also fab up Cat Delete pipes for the SW headers if needed. If Im paying for cats, im running cats. I dont care for the 4hp loss. Id rather have the weight savings of no cats and extra space under the car but Marc says the HF cats arent that large

I agree, but what I'm curious about is whether this means that now you can only get the shorter collector catted headers and not the catless version with longer collectors.

Short collector is my understanding

I assume the short collector allows for cats which then bolt to the cat backs with minimal modifications

Appears SW is showing both types on their website:

Isn't the OBX system a direct knockoff of the Stainless Works one? Any idea if they are restricting sales? --Bob

Wow! The prices have really gone up. I can see why people opt for the Chinese knock offs from OBX. Even the OBX cost much more than when they came out. Me personally I would still rather give my money to SW and buy American.

You can select "factory Connect" but then you have to select an option from the "emissions" section. Before they offered the "off road" option. Now you can only select the "high flow cats" option.
