My buddy sendt me some video clips yesterday, but I cannot post videos here.
This car only got driven from the dealer and home where it still sits today.
That means this 90 ZR-1 only has 27,5 miles! It still has all the plastic on the interior, never got dealer prepped either. He registered it but never put plates on it.
It can't be too many like this out there for sure, at least not for sale (I had to ask of course).
As you all know this is a rare find and the price will be accordingly. To let her go it will take around $80k for him to consider it. Way over my budget for sure.
So, if someone is seriously interested in this "brand new" 1990 Corvette ZR-1 please send me a PM.
Please do not let this be a discussion about the price. He knows what he's got and doesn't need the money, he only said what it would take to have him let her go. Thanks.14586

Never dealer prep, does that mean the protection paint sealer is still on the vehicle?
Is the vehicle located in the USA?
Thanks in Advance

I think it will bring above 60 maybe more. Paint sealant is absolutely not needed, that is dealer profit BS.

I think Brett sold on the low side, money not being an issue ,it is, I would have been all over his 88.

That was the third, if not fourth time he had it listed for sale. That tells me that the low selling price wasn't an anomaly, but just where the market is currently at. I wish I had the money for that one as well! My wife would have killed me...lol.
PS. I don't mind turning this for sale thread into a discussion because the OP isn't even the owner of the car and the seller isn't going to sell it to anyone here with an 80k price tag.
Sorry if anyone is offended...

The cars were shipped with some kind of paint sealant applied and the there was a label on the car to remove it. A bottle of some kind of liquid was provided to remove it. No clue what it was.

Thanks Joel for the comment on the factory applied paint sealer not many people know about the protective sealer along with the warning sticker applied to the window for the removal process.
If I had a car like that I was interested in selling, I'd be talking to Marty.

If he's expecting 80k there is no sense in wasting Marty's time.
On it's best day to the perfect buyer it might be a mid 50k car.

After Completely going through a Z car myself, I only see 2 options for a car like this...
1) the seller gets the max he can "as is", its dusted off and rolled into its next resting place
2) a buyer over pays for it, then spends a TON or time or cash getting it road worthy only to end up be yet another bright red 90 (1 of 1565 out 3032 cars built in 90)
either way, hard pass for me.

Well it is his car and he can ask whatever he wants, the market will be the guide. I would think a High End Auction would be the best option and then you need the right two people to show up and impress their girl friend, wife, etc. Late last year a nice Red 90 ZR-1 went to $50K and I was sure it was done at $30K. Buyer probably had remorse but the auction house and seller were happy. So who knows or like someone else suggested get with Marty as he does get good money out of these. The rest of us have to enjoy what we have and hope the market respects these GREAT cars one of these days!!!

Here is a pic of windshield decal that addressed the protective paint coating. The next pic is the bottle that was shipped with each new Corvette...
