hey guys, got the chip the other day and want to make sure i install this correctly. disconnect the negative,open the bottom of the ecm, switch chips,replace ecm and connect the neg cable back and done! is this correct??? any tips? thanks:thumbsup:

Yup, that's pretty much it. There are clips of sorts on the sides of the PROM that hold it in. Just push then to the side and the chip will lift out a little. Push them back towards the PROM when you put the new one in. If you've ever added memory to a computer, it's similar to that. It's very easy.

How do you like it so far?i do notice a difference in idle and it seems to get to 7000 a little faster. all in all i do notice a change:thumbsup:
