Even with the little mileage on that one, it?s amazing the visible wear such as the bubbling TB powder coat and the top liner deterioration. But it?s an antique at this point so I guess I shouldn?t be surprised some things are coming unglued. Someone had a good eye on the valet switch trim appearing to be later design with the light for full power mode. Is it possible the 90 models on the tail end of production for 1990 got that trim instead?
I had a 1993 Ruby Z with 168 miles and the T-body was bubbled. It's nothing to do with wear. I think it is either contamination when painted originally or possibly porosity affected by coolant. Either way, it's more of a factory "defect" as opposed to usage/wear. I suppose you could put it in the same category as the delaminated windshields, just one of those things.
The anality of some of the comments is pretty tiring. Heck of a nice car. Price at $17k now. Here's hoping it gets a big number.

Agreed...potentially just bidders trying to scare others away from an otherwise great looking car?

That is EXACTLY what is happening.
I would add that it has been commonplace with ZR-1 sales on this site. While it happens as well with other marques, the "experts" pounce on ZR-1's.
A poorly fastened / adjusted left vent and dash pad takes on the air of a car that might have been a total wreck. Complete foolishness.
I have repeatedly cautioned that BAT is a great site; Just not that historically great at all for ZR-1's, especially quality ones.
Enough about buyer beware. Sellers need to "be aware" also.

Nice money for that car...So 5 % on top of the sale price....Now, if whoever drives the car and puts 5,000-7,500 miles the first year, what's its worth then ?

After a year and 5k miles, the loss would be MUCH MUCH less than if you bought a new Chevy Impala, drove it for a year and sold or traded it.
