Rear leaf spring

Hello everyone,

Hi, this is my first time on this forum, please bare with me. I have a 90 zr1 with a broken rear leaf spring, questions.
1 are they fiberglass?
2 did they have trouble failing?
3 my car has 9300 pampered miles on it

1) Yes they are a fiberglass composite.
2) No, typically they fail due to cleaning chemicals getting on them.

And the rear transverse leaf spring isn't as difficult to work on
as the front spring. Consider coil overs?

any cleaner with acid eats right though them (i.e. deep purple etc)
