Figured I would throw this out there...On another forum I saw a member comment on a 91Z that was for sale..The way he described it was in decent shape w 24,000 miles red w black interior I believe...Seller wanted 24K and would not budge..

I sent him photos of my car on corvette forum.....No matter how many times I try to post photos on this site it does not go through..

None the less my car is blk/blk chrome A molds new tires new rear shocks, new U joints, new fuel pumps it needs nothing mechanically...It puts down 448 RWHP on mustang dyno....Motor is powder coated so it looks great...57,000 miles..

The forum member gets back to me and says its strong money for A car w 57,000 miles...I wasn't upset but I feel with all the mods and the condition I'm in the ball park as far as asking price..Cars in very nice condition ....

Any one who belongs to corvette forum if your curious go to the ZR1 discussion section....Scroll down to - another zr1 value question.... You will see some photos of my car....

Is my asking price to high at 23,000 $

Since you opened the valuation can of worms... :)

That's a fair price. Mods on these cars are pricey compared to similar cars, so you'll only ever get back a fraction of that cost. Your car with no mods and that mileage would be a 20k car. So 20k worth of engine work will net an additional 3k...lol.

You'll hear lots of people say it's worth more, I doubt anyone on here would say it's worth less.

The market has not been kind to these cars and it shows no signs of improvement. It's been dead flat for the last year. In that same time, early vipers have jumped 15%.

I think you are good with the $23,000 valuation. I have purchased and sold 8 Z?s since 2018. I bought and sold a 368 w/ 26,000 miles for $21,500. I paid $25,000 for my rebuilt 383 with 61,000 miles. I would have paid more and sold for more if I knew then how bulletproof these engines were. Learning as I go. On the sweeter side I paid $30,000 for a 1,900 mile 90, and $38,000 for a 2,900 mile 95. I would pay more than I paid for every car I own knowing how awesome these cars are. Just my experience.

You are correct about Vipers....Great looking cars I like them but performance wise I'm not sure....The way mine is set up it offers more performance but that viper has massive torque from what I hear....

They are hampered by long gears just like our cars....Never really saw a viper I didn't like and they offer more eye candy than ours....

To also undervalue your evaluation of $23,000....I purchased Three cars for $15,000 or less. One took $5400 to make perfect, one took $2800, and the one that I purchased with a registry history for $12,999 took $1500 to make right. The bottom line is a well maintained car in good low mileage condition is $20k easily and a well maintained modified car should be $25k minimum. So yes! Mods seem to be worth about $3000. Sick.

Vipers are nice to bad anything over 25k miles is considered high miles and that V10 is not known for its durability.

Your price for the 510 package with cams is very fair.
