Need help ASAP if anyone knows....
Ran into an issue I have never seen or heard about. As I said, I got the NOS blue tag in yesterday, came in early to finish it today. First thing was to mount the exhaust hanger to the transmission, well, the passenger side of the tail housing doesn?t have holes for the mount. I didn?t pay any attention to this before I installed the transmission. At first I thought there were ?plugs? in them that could be screwed off with some vice grips, no luck, then thought it kinda looked like punch holes in it, no luck. Before I booger this up anymore I wanted to see what the collective here thought. I have emailed Bill, but he's Pacific time and don't know if he will even check email today. For the love of God, please don't tell me I have to pull the transmission again.
Pics of old and new attached...

Exhaust hanger bolts up on the driver's side.

I know, the driver side has the correct two holes, the passenger side is missing the two holes for that side. The old transmission has the passenger side holes for the bolts the NOS does not . The pictures are BOTH the passenger side of the old trans with mounting holes and the new trans without bolt holes.

Thanks Phil, Pete explained the 90 is a ONE YEAR only mount with 4 mounting holes (90 part# 10143504) and the 91+ is a different mount (part#10157948) that uses only 2 holes and he is sending me a 91 bracket no charge....now that's a Christmas miracle. Thanks All!!!!

Sorry, I'm afraid you lost me.
What do plan to use the passenger side bolt hole for?

If you look at my old transmission I removed, it has two bolt holes on the passenger side of the trans rear housing, the exhaust hanger on the 90, and the 90 ONLY uses a bracket in kind of a "U" shape that has four bolt holes in stead of the different bracket on the 91-95 that only uses two bolt holes on the driver side of the rear trans housing, I went to mount my 90 exhaust hanger on the NOS transmission designed for the 91+ housing and the rear trans housing did not have the two bolt holes tapped for the newer exhaust hanger, I thought it was a defect or something I had missed, but Pete pointed out the one year exhaust hanger design of the 90 I was trying to use on the later transmission. Clear as mud right?
