How many can say they drove that many miles in their Z this year. I am driving one to work tomorrow to rack up a few more before the snow flies!

Wow, that's awesome.

I'm glad to see someone driving their beast.

How many miles do you have on her?

The car pictured above is a DRM 385 with just shy of 72,000 miles. I spread the miles between five other C4 ZR-1s. The mileage ranges from 9,500 to 82,000 between the cars with 32,000 miles an average.

Being from WI I am guessing you are on the other side of the state, because the roads on my side beg to be driven on!

From 11/24 to 12/1 I drove mine through 8 states FL, GA, TN, KY, VA, SC, NC, for 2,400 miles. Plenty of rain and a bit of snow through mountains. 20.5 mpg average. Smiles all the way. One quart of oil. One flat rear on a 27 degree morning. Plugged it in hotel parking lot. I carry a 12v pump. Blue is very dirty.

Season ending snow with salt and rock on the roads today. Sad day! Picked up a 421! Something to look forward to next season!

Good luck with that one...I remember seeing that advertised....Basically the asking price for the car was what it cost to build that engine.....It sold at mecum months and months ago.....Got to be a beast of a car...

I bought 1991 Z in October 1991 and had 98,000 miles by June 1996 when I totaled her on I-4 west bound close to Deland, FL.
4 years of repentance and bought my current 94 in June 2000 with around 30,000 miles. 26 years and 6 months later at 172,700 miles. First 9 years, she was my daily driver rain or shine - average 8-9,000 miles per year. Since 2009, daily only on sunny days.
29 years and 240,000 miles later, I still find it a thrill to be driving this car!

I drove I-4 from DeBary during that period but never saw you... We moved to NC in 2015.

Lou,

Did you ever attend Roger's show/get together? Played a lot of golf at DeBary Plantation.

I bought the car from Roger?s Corvettes from Roger. It took him two weeks to dig it out of the showroom for a test drive in 2000. And yes I played the DeBary G&CC many times. I lived in Hampton Hills Estates in the DeBary Plantation. Never knew about Roger?s show/get together.

I don?t know if it was on every year but I remember going to one in 96. He tried to convince me that GS was a better car. I knew better.
If you went to Roger?s in 2000, did you ever have Robbie Hooper of Corvette Masters or Tim Burke with Burke? Corvette work on your car? Both are great Corvette guys.

I was there shopping in 96 and Roger had a maroon ZR-1, but the windshield was cracked. I believe he was asking $27K for it. He was pushing the GS?s, because of the limited volume produced. His son had one. His car and mine were on Corvette TV, which folded in 2001...
