Time to get some contect up in the new C6 ZR1 section, so here's info and pics on my 2012 Carlisle Blue Metallic ZR1 I picked up a few months ago:

To start with, I loved the Carlisle Blue Metallic (CBM) when I saw it at SEMA the year it came out. The color is stunning in person on the widebody C6s, looking much better in person than in pics or on the marketing brochures. Unfortunately, when I went to buy a GS back in 2013, the used 2012 CBM cars were going for the same price as new 2013s, so I passed on it and went with a silver 2013 GS (that I modded), followed by my 91 ZR-1 (extemely modded and that I still have) and then on to a C7 Stingray (2015 with Z51, mag ride, 7spd).

Fortunately, good things come to those who wait. A local buddy bought this CBM ZR1 about 2 years ago after the original owner traded it in on a C7 ZR1. Car is 1 of 11 Carlisle Blue Metallic ZR1s (one year only color), and 1 of 2 in CBM exterior with black/cashmere interior. I had told my friend when he first got it that if he ever sold it, he needed to give me first chance. Thankfully he did after owning it for right at 2 years, so I sold my C7 in a heartbeat and bought this beauty. It was stock when he bought it, but he recently had some tasteful mods done (pretty much what I would have started with):
Kong 2.55 pulley, Kong HD bricks w/Kong inlets, Kong hidden expansion tank, Edelbrock heat exchanger, Kong air intake. Lingenfelter ported snout, NW102, Flex fuel setup, ID 1050 injectors, Corsa x-pipe and Corsa Xtreme exhaust.
It's still a bone stock engine (cam, heads & exhaust manifolds) and now makes 700rwhp on E85 or 640HP on 93. Since then I've added a set of 19x12" rear reproduction ZR1 wheels running Toyo R888R tires and a pair of Caravaggio Daytona seats.

My previous 2013 GS I had done a blower kit on, and after several rounds of additional modding ended up very close to 700rwhp. Let me tell you though, even with that GS being close to the same HP and having mag ride, it's no comparison to the ZR1. I was fortunate enough to drive a buddie C6 ZR1 several years back on a back road Arkansas drive and was instantly amazed at how much "more" it was than my modded GS. The ZR1 is just so much more, and the way the PD (positive displacement) blower hits and builds toque down low compared to the centri blower I had is no comparison. The C6 ZR1 is one of those rare cars where it's more than the sum of its parts. Add on to that the rare color (everyone loves it, I've had people on the street roll down their windows and ask if I'd sell it), and this one is definitely a keeper.

At this point I'm very happy with it, and really only the other near term mod I plan on doing is an aftermarket head unit (to get AndroidAuto/CarPlay) and backup camera. Long term, I may see if I can hit 800rwhp with a stock engine (2650 blower anyone?).

I do too. They were worth every dollar (and they weren't cheap). WAY more supportive than the factory C6 seats, while retaining the factory wiring harness/functions (memory & easy exit, heat, etc) and still very comfortable. The only caveat for tall people is that they do raise your position probably a good 1-2". For me at 5'10" it's fine, but if you're over 6' they might be tight. They honestly feel very similar to the competition seats I had in my C7.

Bummer. I was hoping you would say they gave you more room. At 6?4, the C6 is already too tight for me. They do look great though.

Anything other than the stock seats probably isn't going to work for you. The stock seat design is a suspension design on the bottom, which allows maximum clearance (if you lower it all the way down, you can probably feel the modules under the seat). All other seats I've seen for the C6 are a "shell" design, which is going to raise your seating position.

One beautiful car, congrats ! I am hoping we can all learn as much about these cars as i have about the C4.
I also hope we can hold some meet and greets, in the near future.

Ooh man.....Nice ride...Still a rare sight ...I still would take one of these over a C7 Z06...Not knocking the Z06 but the ZR1 is lighter and not many around..

Yep, I was considering both C7 Z06 & C6 ZR1. Ultimately the color pushed me over the edge to the C6 ZR1, but I was already leaning that way due to rarity, lighter weight, bigger blower and more "raw" feel.
