I recently dropped off my 93 ZR-1 at Henderson Performance to resolve a low speed driveability issue and have a Core short throw shifter installed.

After some initial runs on the dyno, Corey installed a fresh set of Delco plug wires and upgraded the secondary fuel pump. Thanks to Corey's tune,
the driveability issue is now gone! As an added bonus, the car ended up pulling 559hp and 485 ft/lbs to the wheels

Nice...! We have had a recent report that Cory doesn't work on ZR-1's anymore. He turned down working on a members car, apparently stating he didn't do those anymore. Is he only working on his own creations and not run of the mill Z's? It would be good if we could have someone confirm this one way or another.

Those are power #'s
Can you tell us at what RPM your peak HP/Torque were.
Cams specs?

Thanks guys. Some more info on the car-I bought it earlier this year from the original owner, it was on consignment at Blackdog Performance Cars. The engine was built by Jim Milstead in the early 2000's and the car was barely driven after that. The low speed driveability was caused by a bit too much timing down (under 2500 rpm or so) which caused the ECM to remove timing. Surprisingly, the secondary throttles are still in place.

Hans, as far as I know, Corey is still doing tuning and performance upgrades on ZR-1s. The member that you may be referring to stated that Henderson Performance no longer does mechanical repairs. It's possible that they are too busy with their current work load but that is just speculation on my part.

Thanks Pete, I think we were writing at the same time. The dyno graph reads like an automatic car, showing MPH instead of RPM. Based on the car's 3.73 gears, peak HP looks like it's at about 6800 RPM (approx 140 in 4th gear). There was no torque graph, it was just a number on the screen. Corey said this was due to the LT5's wasted spark ignition system and his particular dynojet.

Don't know the cam specs, I just know that they are Jeal cams. Marc H has a dyno graph on his site of another 415 with Jeal cams and similar output. He lists the specs as: 238 degrees of duration @ .050" lift and .430" total lift.

Thanks
That RPM sounds right.
Jeal cam specs seem to be right also, last time i spec'd Jeal cams.

Works out to about 680 at the flywheel. Pretty impressive from 6.8L.

I remember that car being advertised...From what I remember the asking price seemed very reasonable for the work that car had on it....
