Duh, should have posted times huh. Thanks for reminding me Bryan. Here goes:
ZR-1 Callaway
13.659 @ 109.34 13.558 @ 109.31 Check the MPH’s out here, I spun bad
13.434 @ 110.57 13.941 @ 108.43 Pretty good run, he bogged.
13.381 @ 110.19 15.171 @ 100.58 Pretty good run, he blew the tires off bad.

Last year I had 2.10 60 foot times and the best I had on these three runs was a 2.34. Talked with Demps and he thought maybe the tires were starting to go away. The best I ran last year was 13.38 @ 108. I would say Marc's chip and the Flowmaster did some good. I would suspect times will drop and MPH will go up as I get used to and figure out the power.

Just goes to show how easy it is to SAY the ZR-1 does the quarter in 12.8...BUT in reality how hard it is to break 13 sec's...

Track elevation at Firebird is 2700 ft. I would think density altitude yesterday was somewhere in the 3500 ft range. The 12.8 was more than likely at sea level or even below (I ran my 70' Camaro at Sacramento when the DA was below sea level) with a good driver. As I mentioned I am leaving 1/4 of a second in the 0 to 60 ft times. Tires, driver? We'll see as the year progresses.

Infortunately, there was no video taken. Demps has one on another thread though of one of his runs. Maybe next time.

Good job Hammer! I bet you do get to the 12's and that would be a low 12 run at sea level for sure. I would say the chip and headers are doing their thing well!

What was the Cal's engine set up?

Nice times! you will get into the 12's with out a problem. I first time I took my car to the track last year I ran a 13.3 @ 110MPH, I went this year and ran 12.9 @ 112MPH and I think I can do even better because my 60 ft was 2.1 and 2.2 but my Time and MPH were the same.

I went out a couple weeks ago and ran a 13.207 @ 109.28 (60 ft 2.142) on the last time trial.
First round, dialed at 13.19, ran a 13.258 @ 109.21.
Second round I dialed up to a 13.24, got treed badly, .004 to my .093. Car ran a 13.204 @ 101.13. Best 60 ft time yet at 2.087. I was on the brakes HARD too. Wish I'd a stayed in it to see what it would have done.
I'm havin' a great time with this car.

Keep working on it you will get there! Launching the ZR1 isn't EZ thats for sure. I either Spin my tires or bog or get wheel hop. I have yet to get a great launch.

Thanks Shaun, I am going to keep trying. I want a 12 time slip, and I know it's there. Practice, Practice.
