95 zr-1 lean pop

car runs great, hot or cold, but after start up sometimes,hot or cold sitting still,if you just punch the throttle,it will lean pop then rev, no ses light or codes,
before i start tearing into this thing,anybody got a clue?

Does the motor have any mods?
If so, do you have an updated PROM?
I know first hand that aftermarket exhausts will cause popping on deceleration. In my case it's the Flowmaster cat back system.
But I suspect all the other aftermarket systems will do the same.

An updated PROM from Haibec cured my popping.
