Hi, does anyone have any leads on a original flywheel for my 90? Perhaps someone has a NOS tucked away? :)

Thanks

We have been out of new DMF's for a few years now. We do have 2 used ones in stock.

Jerry can these be rebuilt?

I have one but I wouldn't say is worth anything other than an anchor.

One of Jerry's sounds like your best bet. You can't go wrong with the source or the price. --Bob

Hey Johnny,

I don't have any firsthand knowledge of one being rebuilt, but anything that can be built & put together can be taken apart & rebuilt. It become a question of at what cost and is it worth it.

You know how it goes with Corvette parts though.... eventually, some day it all becomes valuable again, just not likely in my lifetime.

I have a machinist that will resurface the wear/friction surface and I am sure there are several more around the U.S.A. (check any import (german) service center), but getting the elastomer replaced is quite a bit more tricky. Usually the machinist will verify the "play" before resurfacing the wear surface. I personally don't feel comfortable with the elastomer flex limits before it needs to be replaced. Have you ever been to the drag races when a car launched and needed the scatter shield? I am just not willing to gamble like that....
