I just want to thank and recommend Mirrock Corvette in PA.,
who happen to be a new sponsor of the ZR-1 Net Registry.
My rear hatch solenoid went out (weird?) and I found that
hatch solenoids are not so easy to find. Mirrock was fast,
reasonably priced, organized, and helpful.
Support them if you can!

PS: It's really fun reaching the emergency hatch release cable!
Especially with a harness bar in the way, and me being of
challenged girth! Luckily, it was right where it was supposed
to be.
Extra credit question: do you know where the release cable
is and how to get to it? Might be worth finding it with
the hatch open for future reference.

PSS: I didn't remember that I had a rear compartment cover
all rolled up (hint)! I never use it.

Also (PSSS: just didn't look right!) Mirrock's website has
a REALLY COOL chart showing what year Z's had different features.

Mark is the man. Easy to deal with, quality parts and fast. Great website too. His purple Z is stunning also.

Good experiences with doing business with Mark here also.

Related question to the hatch emergency release cable - is there a plastic handle that's supposed to be attached like on newer vehicles, or is it just the 4-5" long wire cable?

Good to hear you got taken care of Ted. Yes, Mark at Mirrock is great to work with; he even took care of one of our Z brothers in Japan. Very reasonable prices and nice parts.

Just a short, thin metal "cable"
More like an 18 ga twisted wire.

Kudos to Mark from me as well!!
He has helped me with some difficult to locate items.
I am not a big or frequent customer, but Mark has always had the time to help no matter the size of the order.

Nothing but good experiances with Mark. And he's a member, and he comes to gatherings.

I agree they are nice to deal with. I called awhile back asking if they had any OEM shift knobs, as the leather on mine had seen better days. He didn't have any C4 knobs, but had a still in the factory wrapper C5 shift knob. Sold it to me at a great price as well!

I used them to replace the front wheel house seals. Mine were split in several areas. I didn't trust Ecklers or Mid America and wanted factory GM. I got super nice ones but off a 94 Corvette. They have many good parts for our cars and the C4 Corvettes in general.

My recent and most helpful purchase from Mark was a 20 pound box of C4 fasteners for $40! What a god-send that has been. I am always looking for some special fastener, not I have a huge supply of them.
