That has been advertised at carsonline.com for a looooong time. Seems like he ought to advertise in England, Europe or Australia where they drive backwards. Could you ever get used to shifting with your left hand?

There is no problem shifting left Handed; the shift pattern remains the same.

It's surprising how quickly we can build muscle memory to do something like shifting left handed.

It reminds me of an experiment years ago where a guy made eyeglasses that made everything backwards (or upside down. I forget). After a while (a day?) his brain started to figure it out. He started "seeing normally".

Of course, then he had to take the glasses off and readjust. Poor guy.

I raced a car last year with the seat on the right side (my first time). I was pretty worried beforehand, but turned out to be not a big deal.

I remember that story from many years ago. Recall it said he had a hard time when he took the glasses off and ended with a statement not to try - without going into details.

This car would be awesome to have in Japan. All the Corvettes exported to Japan for some reason are left hand drive only. I jump from left to right hand drive all the time with my travel going back and forth. The challenge sometimes is remembering what side of the road to drive on. [emoji38]

Sir, You’re right about that too![emoji38] Sometimes when my wife walks to the driver’s side by mistake I get ready to toss her the keys and ask it she’s going to drive or vice versa if she is driving.

When I was in Europe I purchased a right hand drive 72 MG Midget and drove it on roads where they drive on the same side as the USA. No issues shifting but sometimes it was interesting trying to pass a long truck on narrow roads. Fortunately with such a small and narrow car you could take a peak and get out of the way quickly if needed.
