A new guy is looking at getting a ZR-1 this spring. Can somebody look these 2 cars up to see if there are any records on them?
1990 1G1YZ23J7L5801226
1993 40th anniversary edition 1G1YZ23J2P5800216
Thanks!

I did not see any information in the Members Only section of this forum for the 90 but the 93 had the following:
Owner: Larry Horton, owned since 12/31/89 and his email address.

How could he own the 93 from 1989? Record is not valid.

You are certainly correct Lou, should have figured that out myself. Just early today before my coffee. I double checked and that is the information listed.

Likely a transposition typo.
My guess is it should be 98 not 89.

"Condition shows that it has been loved from day one. "
Loved?
Tough Love perhaps, after viewing the pictures.
Can't for certain determine if the damage underneath was from improper lifting, or something else.
No matter; fairly priced if it runs well.

As a registry member you have direct access to the database. Just log in (upper left of the page) on the Registry Site main page (www.zr1.net), select the members only tab then the “registered ZR-1’s” tab. You can also update the info on your own vehicle.

The best advice is to thoroughly inspect the vehicle. Ownership records don’t count for squat.

That picture of the inside door panel showing build codes looks like the the panel has been re-painted. Maybe not a big deal but do your due diligence.
