View Full Version : Squeaky sway bar bushings?

I'm getting a front end squeak as I go over some rough road and drive through my neighborhood. If I "bounce the car" I can replicate it. The front suspension is quiet when cold and gets louder after the car has been driven and the temperature outside heats up -- today was 91 in DFW.

My guess is that my bushings need attention. I want to swap them out with new ones and lube up the end links. Hopefully that will do the trick.

I'm double checking that our front sway bars require 30mm bushings? Any thing else I need to lube up or inspect as long as I'm crawling around under the car?

I thought the front was 26mm and the rear was 24mm

Oh jeez.... this is why I'm asking.

This has some info on it...... Looks like 26/26 for a 91... my 90 is 26/24

If they are rubber, believe it or not, plain ol WD-40 is what we used in the shop. It pennitrates (creeps) between steel and rubber. Simple, cheap, & works great!

Thanks Paul- I'll give that a try. Funny, as the car cools, it gets quieter.
