Well my 90 project is taking longer than I expected, I am opening a new business - I was supposed to open March 1st but had permits issues...ANYWAY, about to start taking the top end off my 90, I have the brake booster out for several reasons, mainly getting access to the cam bolts SO I have never had issues with a booster in my late C4's BUT earlier including up to 89, the boosters seem to go bad at about 60k miles. This 90 ZR-1 has 33K miles BUT now it is 2020 and it's 30 years old , I am thinking of sending it for a rebuild while I have the time, but wonder if I should leave it alone...thoughts? Anyone have good experience with a brake booster rebuilder? I could go aftermarket since the label on the OE is washed off although I haven't shopped aftermarket at all. The booster has no current issues that I know of.

For what it,s worth, my 94 booster has been trouble free at 171,000 miles.

Hey Cliff,
I think I replaced all chain guides with Phil supplied low mileage pieces. Phil kindly provided low mileage cam chains among other hard to find parts. Oil pump was replaced with a new unit - lucky find on Ebay.
