I saw that article this morning.....And was shocked by the comments. There wasn't the typical bashing of the C4 or the legendary ZR-1 :-D

It's missing the license plate surround (or at least it's not on in the pic), and 2 of the speaker amps don't work. Even sitting unused, Bose amps decay.

Having just restored a ZR-1 with almost no miles for many years, I would bet the owner will have some fun with fluids, seals and corrosion (electrical and other).

The listing says it has been fully restored. Maybe this is a reason it sold for the price listed?
"The car just received an extensive service including cleaning for entire fuel delivery system including fuel tank cleaning, fuel line and fuel rail flush, all new updated primary and secondary fuel injectors, new fuel pumps, updated GM PCM chip and prom, oil change with new GM Delco “Black” oil filter to the car only, new battery and more. The car runs awesome as a new car should and is ready to be enjoyed. The AC is ice cold and all of the power equipment operates correctly. The radio works and the antenna goes up and down on command. The speakers will need new- Bose amps. Two work and two don’t."

"Fully restored" and "The speakers will need new- Bose amps. Two work and two don’t." don't match up. For $40K, EVERYTHING needs to be perfect on it. In their list of things services, I see nothing about the vacuum lines, coolant hoses, belt, etc. All of that stuff has potential to have dry rotted or become brittle just due to age.
Is it back for sale?
Did the deal falls through?
