Hello,

I've been looking for a rear bumper cover for a while now and I think I finally found one.

Donor car is 1993, my car is a 1991.

1993 seems to have a different model of absorber.

1993:

1991 (#15):

How would be the fitment?

Thanks!

I'm sure GM just found a cheaper way to produce the inner absorption material. As G8nightman stated all the 91-95 bumper covers are the same.

Noted!

My concern is: on my 1991, it is bolted (or riveted according to the picture?).

What about the 1993+? The holes fit?

Well, I'm getting more and more concerned.

Impact bar seems to be VERY different on a 1993 compared to 1992.

Top is 1993+, bottom is 1992-...

FWIW, the bumper supports changed from the honeycomb to styrofoam somewhere around VIN no. 120 in the '93 MY. GM had to lighten the car to meet the as-approved EPA fuel economy requirements for '93.

It makes sense, but I'm really wondering if it is going to fit with '91 Impact bar...

Also to note, there are slight differences between 1990 and 1991. I’ll try to get a pic tonight.

1990 is the full one. 1991 has the cutouts.

Weird. I know the one on the left to be original to my 1990. The one on my 1991 may have been replaced.

The one on my 1991 is also separated in 3 pieces!

From what I understand, there are 3 different absorbers.

-1984-1990
-1991-1992
-1993-1996

Now I'm wondering about the impact bar (I also need one). Am I right to say that there are 3 models too?
