If its not one thing, its another. Radio quit working. Fuses good, amps getting 12 volts (so relay is good). Looks like the CDM audio out died.
For those who have removed this item from under the dashboard ('92), can I access this from the top by removing the glove box? I've been under the dash and can barely see the CDM from underneath.

I did the one on my '90 a while back. Still have bad memories of the experience!!
You will need to access the left (driver's) side from the bottom. The right (passenger) side can be accessed from the right end of the dash after you remove the trim from around the fuse panel. It also comes out through this area.
Give Dr. Don a call. He will tell you the procedure without having to disconnect the mess of wires underneath it.
Good Luck !!!

I did it on my 91 a couple of years ago. A total tedious PITA. Not hard, but just a fidget.
Hint, you need to go from the bottom and you will make it a lot easier for yourself if you remove the seat first. I did not (I'm not smart) and my back was messed up for about a week.
It is doable and it took me 4 hours

I’m bringing this back up because my radio quit. All fuses checked. The antenna goes up, the radio turns on, the clock works, it selects stations, no sound. FSM says to test the receiver relay. Where is this relay? If relay is good then receiver is bad. Fun, fun to pull that too. Man did GM ever service this stuff? Two more inches on the radio head harness would have made it much easier to get the connectors apart.

Dr. Don’s is the place to go for receiver and amp repairs.

I’m only aware of the amplifier relay not a receiver relay. It’s to the left of the steering column near the turn signal flasher.

I have the dash off the 90 I am restoring. Here are some pictures of the CDM, I THINK it would be the same on a 91. Maybe it will help you on a better way to access by feel. Hope it helps.
