Fitted a no flex system to my '90 ZR-1 about 3 years ago in an attempt to help stiffen the frame, especially with the roof section removed. It certainly helps, particularly on poor roads and, in my view, was well worth the money. It's also pretty straight forward to fit.

I've heard good things about them. I bought one and I'm waiting for some spare time to install it.

I have it and know it makes a difference with the roof off. In the past going out of our development there is a dip in the road. With the roof off car would make all kinds of noise going over the dip. After the install, no more noise.

I agree with Charlie. If you want to ride around with the targa off, you want the frame stiffening bars on your car. I've done the Dragin several times with the targa off and can say they work.

The other option is the roof truss bar unlike the frame stiffener it only works for driving with the top off.

Thanks for all the input. I see that (almost) universal approval of the system for when the Targa is off. How does the system work/help/improve the car when the top is on?
I rarely pull the Targa off so I alternate between the acrylic and the painted top. I get some pops and creaks with the top on. I am wondering if the system will help "quiet" the car down when the tops are on?

When I had the V2V bars installed, they did it as it was the very first set and they wanted to document everything. Anyway, when I left I had the roof on and I immediately noticed a difference.. worth it..

I remember when this system was designed and the prototype was laying on the field in Carlisle. It works. The c4 has a natural "hinge point" where the frame bends in and wasn't designed for the targa roof.
Reference Dave M. "Inside the corvette"
I'd use them both. the targa bars are a bit stiffer than the roof panel and work great. The Vette 2 Vette system adds tortional stiffness
The up front camber connect bar works pretty well.
The later vettes were a huge bump in chassis stiffness. The c4 could use a bit of help so you don't have a rag doll.
if you don't mind the hassle, a good 4 point with up front kick out removables for the front (6 pt cage) is really what "fixes" this problem properly.
