15k mile 90’ Black/Black looks like a decent car with the usual minor issues. $12k with 3 days to go, will it break $15k? Someone will get a deal it appears.

I have been watching this one.
My opinion is that the seller would have been better served if he cleaned it up a bit (especially underneath) and fixed the common items.
Somebody could get a good deal if the reserve is not set too high. Spend a few thousand on it to bring it up to speed and have a great low mileage example to enjoy!!

I haven’t mentioned it on BAT but what’s up with the exhaust? It has round tips not the stock squared ones. Still looks like a fairly stock system. Flowmaster?
Not a big deal but curious.

The exhaust is a new one on me also.
Obviously something has been changed, but no idea with what.
The interior wear is a bit concerning. Also the condition of what little we have pictures of underneath. If I didn't know better I would think the miles have been hit. ??

Pretty rough for only 15k miles?

Generally, not always, but generally, cars usually sell at a price commensurate with their condition.
Cars with very few miles that have been covered and patted with diapers and properly maintained and serviced sell for what they are worth in time.
The "other" cars also sell for what they are worth.
Just an observation.

Marty,
I would say your observation is "Spot On".

I thought of that, but why??
Measured my stock tips and would only need to cut off a little over 2 inches to get to the round part.
But again. WHY???

This car does not appear to be getting a lot of love over on BAT.
There are "cars", and then there are "Cars". I think this one would warrant an up close once over before committing to buy it at any price.
I purchased a new '90, drove the hell out of it for 30k miles over 2 years and it still did not show the wear this one does.
(I hope the seller is not a member here. We seem to be trashing the car quite a bit. But it is what it is!!)

This one was bid to $14,500 but didn't sell. I was actually a little surprised it got that high.
Come to find out the CarFax shows a mileage discrepancy back in '95. I suspected that from the condition of the car. Hitting the miles on the first generation digital dashes was fairly common back in the '90's. I was handling several hundred cars a year back then and would discover this more often than you would think.
Anyway, I was a bit embarrassed to see a C4 Z in this condition offered for sale. Doesn't help anybody.
