In the final stages of installing the 427. Decided to run the engine coolant vent lines under the plenum in 5/16 SS tubing. More secure than running it in hose.

I like that.. I assume you had to add ports to the IH for the coolant lines

Yes, the same area where the coolant sensor ports are located. The casting is quite thick there. Intended for pipe thread fittings.

Beautiful phil. You obviously understand the design intent of providing an escape path for the steam. Lotus meant for their to be a vent in this circuit. Love what you’ve done.

An elegant solution Phil, dispensing with the secondaries I see... but then why would a 427 need them in the first place.

First start on Friday
Cam chains and lifters are pretty noisy until oil pressure builds up which is normal.

Don’t you hate that, especially since it takes 2-3 minutes to fully resolve.

Just was thinking about this today.. What size fittings did you use with the 5/16" line?
What did you use to bend the lines?
Since I still have secondaries, I am thinking off adding these on the coolant tubes as I am not sure I have room for them under the plenum.. Espcially with my LS2 coils

1/8 “ NPT 90 degree fittings in the injector housings.
Simple hand tubing bender from the local tool store.

I basically had the same setup on my stock motor run in 5/16” hose which still had secondarys.

Had a shop in Chicago do the 4.125” closed deck cylinder liners and local motor machine shop do the balancing and valve seat work. And I did the rest.
