Rear storage compartments

If I remember correctly, in the early C4's, there are 2 rear storage compartments. In my 92, there is only one, behind the pass seat. Behind the driver's seat, there is a compartment held closed with a small screw. Under that cover is some sound deadening material over a bunch of wiring harnesses connected to what looks like another computer.


Question is, what is the function of that box?

That’s the ABS system... computer and hydrolics.
