Wow.....That's a lot of coin for just 2 rear tires. Did you use the member tire discount? That might of made the pain a little easier. I saw where Goodyear was making the F1 GS-D3s again in our Zs 315 size.....but I personally can't justify almost $2000 for a full set of tires. I just ordered a full set of Nitto 555 G2s for $628.00, and I thought that was a hard hit lol.

I feel your pain. I don't recall how much I spent on them the last time, but I plan on buying the F1 GS-D3's again. I do really love the tires.

Remember it is only a 5 year investment regardless of the amount of tread left if you really drive the car. If you have a trailer queen, wait until they don’t hold air.

I'm getting ready to buy four new tires for my car. Complete set of Goodyears will be $1343.50 after mail in rebate. The factory saw blades have a set that were installed in 09 and have close to all their tread. The rear tires have lost a little in the center. I think I'm going with the Michelin Sport PS2's in 335/35ZR17 on the back and the 275/40ZR17 on the fronts. The Michelins will run $1532.80 . Just think of it as $300 a year. Probably won't wear them out. You don't want to go cheap when it comes to tires or brakes.

Check the date codes carefully when you get them. Goodyear only makes them sporadically and some have reported getting tires that are as much as 2 years old.

New tires are made 1/2019. The fronts that I haven't changed are 11/2015

Came home for lunch removed them and ran them down to Big O for a mount and Road Force balance.

Ordered the Michelins from Tire Rack. Can't wait to get them on the car. One thing good about PA is no sales tax on items like tires.

Goodyears. Michelins only come in 335 for the rears.

Hans,

If u can swing Michelins, they’re very good. I had the Nitto invos for a number of years. Liked them but I could immediately tell the difference in smoothness and grip w the Michs. I have the SuperSports.

You don’t have to convince me on Michelin Super Sports, I think they are the best performance road tire on the the market today. The problem is they are expensive and I just don’t think they are a good value for the number of miles I put on the car. They will time out before they mile out. The best value tire is still the Sumitomo but they are not the best performance tire and they tend to be under sized. Nitto seems to occupy the middle ground of value and performance, considering the precious little selection we have in general. As always “to each his own”.

Hans,

Lack of selection was a secondary reason I went w the Z06 wheels.
