Hello everyone, I am a new member and the proud owner of a 1990 ZR-1,since last week. It has been neglected and sitting for about 5 years so I have my work cut out for me. I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions along the way. I have drag raced all my life and have a shop to work out of. Looking forward to meeting you guys and learning all about "The King of the Hill". Actually putting a battery in it today just to check the status of some of the electrics, will be a couple of weeks before I actually try to start it. It seems all in tact with no Bubba engineering, it cleaned up well, so now time for everything mechanical electrical to be gone through. Engine looks good, no signs of outright abuse other than sitting unloved for so long. I intend on bringing her back to nice daily driver condition and let this beast loose like she deserves.

Thank you, it's going to be an adventure, can't wait to hear this engine come to life. When these cars came out they were way out of my range so when I found this one even though it needs some work I jumped on it. Can't wait to take her out for a cruise.

Welcome, and congrats! Mine was in a similar situation when I rescued her from a "luxury" car dealer where she'd sat for who knows how long. Car would barely run, and often wouldn't start. Once everything was sorted (thanks to this forum and Mark Haibeck) it's been nothing but fun.

Congratulations and welcome. If you have not already planned on it, you might consider joining the ZR-1 group at the C4/ZR-1 Gathering May 16-18. Great camaraderie and lots of useful information. --Bob

Welcome to the group!!
Congratulations on acquiring your ZR-1!
By doing some of the work yourself, you can reduce the expense significantly of bringing your car back.
Nice progress so far!!!
