My car has been lowered by someone other than me, it appears to have a bunch of aftermarket suspension parts in front and rear. When Corey had the car to do a header install he mentioned that it looked like Gulstrand parts. I definitely have red poly bushings and hiem joints in place of stock, I think the front and rear sway bars are larger than stock, the rear has longer bolts to allow for adjusting the ride hieght as well as adjustable trailing rods, and toe rods. Im not much of a suspension guy, sorry of I get the names wrong. There are pictures in my gallery.

Well after having just got back from a trip to New Orleans and taking several back roads in SW La. I realized it would be nice to have a bit more height in the front suspension.I know coil overs are an option, but I would prefer to keep the FX3 and the aftermarket parts as the car handles really well and I like the adjustability of the FX3.

So does anyone have advise as to how I gain about an inch of front ride height and keep most of my existing parts, perhaps a different front spring. I have looked on line for solutions but really have not found anything except coil overs.
I know my signature says lowered one inch but I am thinking its more than that.

Based on what you wrote, my guess is that you have OEM fiberglass transverse leafs front and rear?
To lower the front, most likely, PO shaved rubber blocks off the front leaf. Best way to regain OEM height would be to find an unmolested front leaf.

If the springs are original they probably cut off the rubber spacers from the top center of the sping and from the bottom of the tips. It’s a 91 right? (90’s are slightly different) To my knowledge no one makes replacement rubber spacers although something could be fabricated. The easiest solution would be to find an un-messed with stock spring.

You can keep your fx3 with coilovers

Rippie's coil over kits work with FX3 shocks. Check his website.

Thanks, I'll take a closer look at the springs to see what was done. They are definitely fiberglass not sure if they are original or not. I'll look for some markings on them. Thanks for the info.
