I'm interested to know what's everyone's "next" Corvette? Whether you're going to keep your current Z or not ...what is your heart longing for on the next one?
I'll start.....
I currently have an 09z06 sitting with my Z, my "next" will most likely be a c6zr1.

Would love to get the C8 w DOHC motor. Second place would go to either C7 GS
or C6 ZR1. However, I’d like to keep the C4 if possible.

For me I'm holding out to make my decision on the c8, I need to see it in the flesh and see how the tt/engine setup is played out. But no doubt it will be impressive

Yes they are fantastic cars. The price dropping was about 80% of the reason I sold mine ..I could see the cliff coming

I pretty much agree w/ Dominic. But, Bob Gillig said it pretty well too (at the time when he was DD'ing a yellow C6 including in the snow!!). He said, "... the C6 has decent power and is comfortable to drive on a daily basis. But! The ZR-1 is in my will!!

I'll keep the Z and leave it to my son.

Keeping my ZR-1. With all the other Corvettes at cars and coffee or local car shows, I like having a car that stands out and is different.

I'm still enjoying my 67 big block, tri-power coupe and 95 ZR-1...But if things work out I could see a C6 ZR1 in my future.

I already got my next one--my 2016 Z06. It will probably also be my last as I expect to keep it a long time. Had ZR-1s for roughly 20 years and while I sure miss my '95 I just don't have the room for another. Plus I 'd be "livin' single and drinkin' double" in no time if another Corvette showed up at our house. The Z06 is very easy to live with as a touring car and is quite fast. With 650 HP and a fine 8 speed Automatic, GM says it will do 0-60 in 2.95 seconds. Despite the Mickey Thompson quote in my sig, it really is enough at this point. The '93 and '95 were really high quality beauties and the '95 with Marc's 510 package was terrific. But it was time for me. Still plan to see everyone at the Gathering this year. --Bob

If I can get there, another 2002 Z06, only this time supercharged. A friend of mine has a really nice black/black 04 Z06 for sale with a new 640 hp FI engine that was just installed.... So much want.... so little money!

I’d like a C4Z with the Haibeck 510, or possibly an Automasters car. Otherwise, probably a C5 Z06 while they’re still affordable. Down the road, a C6Z.

After talking with some sources inside GM about the ME car, I decided that, for what my Wife, the Fairest Sandra the Red, and I do with our cars, we'd rather have the last great front-engine Corvette.Sweet.... will it be the new Barney ?
Nope. There was only one Barney. This one was ordered in Corvette Racing Yellow w yellow brakes and black wheels.

My next Corvette will be a 61-62 but that won’t happen for a loooooong time. I recently asked about selling my Z but the consensus was I’d loose my @$$ if I sold it so it’s a keeper for the time being. Currently planted in my garage under a sheet of plastic,25,000 miles and in deep hibernation. To be honest,if I could get $30,000 for my car don’t know if I could sell it. Not too many cars out there I’d take over my Z although a white, blue interior C6 Z might do it,NO BLACK WHEELS!

Hib... good choice!
As for me, since I’m not in that income bracket it will likely be another ZR-1. Ive been down that road having owned two C6’s and a C3 after the first ZR-1. For me at least, everything else is just another sports car. Fast, efficient and (maybe) comfortable yes, but not “special”. In that sense I find the 90-95 ZR-1 unique and for the moment at least a tremendous value. To each his own...

No doubt, C4 ZR-1s are a hell of a value.
Sad but true that some of them are worth more parted-out than as complete cars.

I will never sell my Z. But if ever fortunate to add another Vette, it would be the upcoming C8.....not since the rumors of Carroll Shelby working with Dodge, on what was being called a modern Cobra, have I followed a car this closely. You know when it's being tested with an Audi R8 and a 911 turbo, GM means business. Have you guys seen the interior spy shots?? Just wow, I thought our Z's were like a fighter cockpit until I saw the C8. they are pulling no punches because GM knows it has to be double incredible. Which it will be, mark my words......
so ya that would be my garage. My getting long in the tooth 2006 Civic daily driver, my 1991 Z #0041, and the new C8. Hopefully I could get # 41 off the line :)

And just to be clear... Im not replacing the ZR-1, I would be adding to the stable.... If I were to replace the ZR-1, it would be with a 93,4 or 5... and everything would be done this time around... headers, gears etc.

Well, I've already got a 2015 C7 Z51 (M7 3LT) that I use as a daily driver. I'm anxiously waiting to see what the C8 mid-engine really looks like and what engine and specs it comes out with, then I'll make a decision on if I trade the C7 in on one. Secondary plan is trade the current C7 in on a C7 Z06, and then mod it a little to get it up to 750-800HP range. Alternate plan to those is get a used Jeep TrackHawk as a daily driver and pick up a C6 ZR1 as another fun car.

I really want a nice stock 68-72 C3 probably a coupe. Since they were the car I grew up drooling over as a kid in elementary school. A nice small block car will do. But wouldn't mind a nice big block either. Before I bought my current Z I was looking at everything from LT4's to C5 Z06's and even a couple C6's. I also looked at some C3's. Just went right back to what I know though.

If I could swing it, I wouldn't mind buying another C4Z, like Evan's. Just purchased a modified 2002 C5Z, back in October, and am slowly adding some of my own touches to the car, new Hankooks and CCW's being the latest.

First the styling better be spot on, I know the technology and performance will be there. But I seriously have doubts I will be able to fit in the car. If the C7 is any indicator, I'm done with Corvettes. The BMW has a back seat, which is useless for me, but I can at least drive the thing comfortably. At this stage in life, I really don't need a backseat anymore. It's usually the wife and i or one kid at a time.
