I'm in the process of refinishing the top end of the engine, including a repaint. It would be nice to practice painting and finishing on a scrap piece first, in particular a cam cover since it also has lettering.
Willing to pay shipping + a bit extra for the inconvenience if anyone has a broken/scrap cover laying around and willing to part with it.

Asking too much, but you could always make an offer.

Since I didn't get any bites originally, I just went ahead and painted mine. It turned out great, except I added a clear coat (DiamondFinish, aerosol) that promptly yellowed at operating temperature :( So, I'm going to have to redo it anyhow.
The plenum, TB, and air horn I also cleared, but with a brush from a can of the same product (then sanded and polished) .. it looks great; did not yellow at all.
