For those in upper mid west.....Keep Zs in garage/shed today and tomarrow as temps nearly 40 below Deg F. Those Heater Cores can only take so much frozen coolant and are a bear to replace :p

A radiator is much easier to replace than Heater Core and failed Heater Core will leak inside on carpet, not outside like Radiator :D

Checked my antifreeze yesterday - expecting the worst. Pleasantly surprized tho...tested good to -45 on all 3 Vettes!

I wish like heck I had Bob's TENT in my garage. Fer Sher I will have one come next year (assuming I haven't moved to FL or something!!:()

Cliff,
You realize the term “Global Warming” in no longer PC. The proper term is now “Climate Change”. Lol...

"Climate Change", Global Warming", "Global Cooling" before these.
Whatever fits the narrative!!
"Look and you will see" the motive behind.

Well Hans...…..I am hoping the Climate in my steel shed does not change too much over night as I do not think I am good to much below -30 deg F unlike Paul. The Zs have car covers and they are on floor mats which will help. I did call my cousin to turn on all the lights and plug in an electric heater to raise the inside shed temperature a few deg. I do NOT want to do another Heater Core :handshak:

Where did you get the mats for your Z?

BTW I plan on fishing for yellow lake perch on the lake front.

A warm front of +40* is expected Sunday and I'm going to work on the Z.

We are on the same page, you and I.

Cliff,
I would have thought you would bring at least one to CA. Or do you have your CA Z’s and your SD Z’s? Next time your driving through Reno be sure to say hi. :hello:

I keep checking the thermo in my car to determine if my garage is maintaining a warm enough temp. We’re expecting -24F or -31C tonight here in Chicagoland. Not the coldest I experienced here in Chicago. That was -29F.

No way! The lake stayed pretty cool this entire past summer.

Watching the lake freeze over is always nice to view.

You doing the polar plunge soon?

I usually leave a bottled water and keep a sample of mixed antifreeze and water on the floor to see if it freezes up or not.

67 Deg F here in central valley CA tomorrow.....:dancing
The Zs are all Reconditioned and running no codes. Once you fix em they stay fixed with no issues.
Working on Raptor 700 a bit tomorrow in spare time (new chains, sprockets, Wheel Bearings).
