Long story short, I picked up a used power steering cooler to replace mine which is all chewed up. I know! No one can see it but I know it's all raggedy. Right?
It arrived last night and decided to clean it up a bit. I filled it with mineral spirit, sloshed it a bit and drained it into a pan in the laundry room adjacent to the kitchen, breakfast room and living room. Boy! Did the Mrs. ever get pissed off... I never had any aversion to petroleum or solvents and assume the same for everyone else. I guess I am wrong... Won't be doing that again.

Cool you ever rebuild a carburetor on the kitchen table?

I tried rebuilding a Holley 650 probably in 83 I think. Come to think of it, that didn’t go too well either.

I hear what everyone is saying.
Between the car, motorcycle & airplane parts always being in close proximity, I had to make a decision.
I chose the car, motorcycle & airplanes. Have not regretted it for a second.
I do have a rescue dog. She loves me and never says a word!!

The longer you are gone, the happier they are to see you when you get home.

Been there done that, PB Blaster appears to be particularly annoying when sprayed in the laundry room. the 390 big block on the living room was a good one too.

I have a pair of Michelin PS2 335-30-18s in my walk-in closet.
I better have them mounted before she decides to trash them:mrgreen:

That is for sure!
In return, I spoil her beyond all reason!

With the sound of things, the next group buy is
gonna be a divorce lawyer...

Fortunately I will not need to participate in this, but will be here with moral support! :handshak:

I did, but before I was married. Used gasoline as the solvent of choice. 4 barrel from my '67 Coupe. Worked like a charm afterward and didn't burn down the house. --Bob

At the kitchen table, a lot of Brides don't like the smell of
Hoppe's No.9 either....

Here’s a surefire test to prove who in the family loves you the most.
Lock the wife, kids and dog in a dark closet for a couple of hours and observe which one is the happiest to see you when you open the door.

Phil:
You think that may be why all I have now is the dog?
Full disclosure: I have 1 daughter and she still loves me!! :)
She likes cars & airplanes. Motorcycles, not so much.

When you're with other women, they just sniff you all over and wag their tails like crazy.

I spray painted parts in my basement in the winter not realizing that the smell would waft through the whole house.....

Two marriages and two divorces later the ZR-1 always occupies the inside parking spot and my 1998 748r Ducati was on display in the corner of the living room. Both of my X's swear I was the problem????

My wife of 41 years puts up with a lot but she can't stand the smell of gear oil. Whether on me or in the garage. And it's her car that is getting gear oil change today! She smelled the bottles in her car when I bought them. It's her nurse nose.

Now the biggest being in the doghouse here is probably when my wife found me unconscious in the garage during a blizzard at 2 AM. Wake up dammit you're not dying and leaving me with three little kids. And she threw me out in the snow and kept me awake all night so I didn't slip into a coma. We found out the next day from doctor they don't have much in the medical journals about this condition because no one usually survives carbon monoxide poisoning!

Y’all are 😜. I can’t beat any of them.

Mine usually start like this: garage door goes up, her spot is taken by something she’s never seen, SUV shuts off, & house front door opens.

Ends with me groveling for one week leniency. Then, it’s out—by me...or her.
