Hit a milestone with my car today. Have owned this for several years now and was bought with high mileage, but it still runs decent.
I wonder how many have hit this mileage?

Big accomplishment!. And yes, it would be nice to know, if you can, how much of the powertrain is original. Any racing history if you know?

My car is also a '91 and currently has 123,000 miles. But the motor, transmission and rear gears are not original to the car.

Here's to wishing you many more miles!

Congrats! I suspect, if we’ll maintained, the engine will outlast the rest of the car. I have 183k on mine but recently changed out the engine. Turns out I didn’t have too, but that’s a story I’ve previously posted. In the middle of a suspension rebuild currently.

I looked back and cannot find where you determined you did not have to change out the engine. I am curious the condition of the Chain Guide Facings after 183k miles???

That's great!
These cars were built to be driven, although many weren't.
I have 176,800 on my 1990.It runs great. My plan is to make it to 250,000 like it was designed to do. I also have an original set of sleeves and pistons for the rebuild when the time comes.

Cliff, you’ll probably remember this thread when you see it. I outlined the reason for the engine exchange and the mistakes I made along the way.

As for the chain guides, we’ll never know. I sold the long block to Hovemann Racing in Germany. I never opened the timing or cam covers to look before shipping it off.

Now that's awesome!
I have one that sleeps in the garage, and another that gets driven everwhere it wants. A post like yours makes me want to drive it all the more.
What oil & filter do you use?
What engine / body electronics have you replaced?
Are you doing anything uniquely different than forum advice or specialist recommendation?
Drive it hard?...often?
Any transmission or driveline issues?

200k miles, that's fascinating!

Only racing history I'm aware of is with previous owner, 1/4mi runs. It does have a few mods exhaust, chip etc..My hunch is it was not raced much through the years, but just driven.

I've done nothing major to the car other than drive it and unfortunately not sure if any of the driveline parts have been replaced. There is some damage to the heater box which makes me suspicious that the engine might have been out of the car?
It doesn't get driven much with me, but it is driven a bit hard when I do.

LOL...yea, these ZR-1's are gonna be worth big money someday. Please keep the mileage under 250,000.
