Installing my fusion exhaust. What vacuum source did you use? A picture would be a great help. Thanks!
Jkno91,
Below is the information I received from Marc Haibeck during my fusion installation
for my 90 Z. The install is clean and the instructions provided great results. Xavier
Here is some advice for the muffler valve control system. A vacuum
line is needed to control the muffler valves. An easy way get it to
the back of the car, is to use the fuel vent line. It starts in the
area on the frame below the power steering pump. A 3/16" line.
Disconnect it and let the hose vent to the air. Connect the line to
the Cruise vacuum connection at the center of the left wheel house.
Connect the other end to the B&B controller. The B&B
instructions are
for the controller are for a C6 Corvette. Not too useful
for a ZR-1.
I mount the controller up high behind the right rear
tire. I then tap
into 12 volt power at the FX3 control module in the right rear
storage well with the ABS controller. Pins D16 ground and C16
ignition power.
Best regards.

The easier approach is to not connect the valves. I ordered mine without valves and have no regrets. [emoji6]

I don’t have the B+B Fusion, but have a custom setup which is very similar using
DynoMax UltraFlows w C6Z06 NPP valves. If using on a 91-95 ZR, THERE’s a vacuum line from the motor going to the charcoal canister in the passenger rear corner. I’m using that line to feed vacuum to the valves w a check valve. Also installed electrical switch in line for on demand closed/open.
I believe mike100 former ZR used micro switches to control opening based on MAP and rpm.
