But you live in Missouri? That’s not Winter! The LT5 loves colder temperatures...

Lol I wish! We have had a particularly heavy snow so far...my driveway is still covered.
This is 5 days ago... I took the jeep out to play

When the snow melts you need to sneak it out for a short drive when it’s in the 40’s like Monday or Tuesday.

I used to drive my 68 427 on occasion in NH when the roads were dry and clear of snow. Vettes love the fender air and cooler temps.

I would have taken my Z out today, but I’m still working on leaf removal in NC! Same temp as you today.... JMHO ☃️

Long Winter‘s Rest

I need to get a cover to keep the dust off but I hate putting them on cars they inevitably scratch something

No way I am storing my Z or any Corvette I own in the winter time.

Just block off the air inlet for the radiator and avoid the snowy days.

I'm only not driving because my heater core is broke and I have not had time to fix it.

Moth balls will keep the critters away (alledgedly...)
Whatever you do, don‘t put them in the interior...
Next driving season you‘ll be driving around with the
windows down and roof panel off until October to
get the stink out...

In Pittsburgh they salt the roads until they're white so only get to take the Z out in the winter after a big rain.
At minimum up and down the driveway every 4 weeks and park a bit further in or shy of the previous location to avoid flat-spotting the tires.

Thanks. I just bought that lift in April. I'm 61 now and regret I didn't buy one 30 years ago!

Do you recall what the minimum height required was?

Beautiful Z! And those wheels...really compliment the car nicely. (What kind of wheels and what sizes are they??)

I bought my Direct Lift Pro Park 8S in 2012 and am glad I did. couldn't own a Vette without it due to 2 car garage.

My height was 10'-- technically about 9'8" at the front of the garage and about 10' near the door due to normal drainage slope. I have one 5' tall car and one 4' tall car, so that worked. In a 21'x21' garage with an 18' wide double door. I had to raise the garage tracks and install a jackshaft opener. Lots of pics in my Garage Lift album; just click my avatar.

Pics of the sold '95 ZR-1 and the new 2016 Z06 up for the winters.--Bob

Your car looks great, luv the wheels. I know you like the lowered look, and to each his own, but for proper handling the rear is too low. These cars were designed to have about 2 degrees of rake back to front with the front lower. My guess is you’ll end up with more understeer this way. To get the most out of the handling the back needs to be raised a bit.

Like I said, if you like it that way, great! Just wanted to point that out.

I'll check tonight when i get home but i have the Backyard Buddy and found that i don't need to go to the max height, 1 notch below is fine for me (5'6") to reach what i need without crouching.
As Bob said, raising the garage door tracks was definitely required.

Thanks and I agree, if you notice I have the front tires sitting up on 3" pads and that's why it's making the *** end squat like that in the picture. I use those so I can get a jack under the front when I want. When it's pulled off those pads the stance is pretty perfect

My Garage is 10'-10" high but you could get away with 9'-6" if you don't use the highest lift setting. The car on the bottom is slightly taller than the Z (about 4' tall) and fits under the lift on one setting below highest.
I can send you my layout drawings if you are interested.
