Had my 1990 ZR1 judged yesterday.
Would like to thank all the ZR1 Forum members that helped me for sharing their weath of knowledge, members that sold me the parts I needed at reasonable prices and answering or getting me the answer to all questons. Had several members show up yesterday for support.

Please add my 1990 2748 to the Top Flight list with a score of 99.2 This would have not been possible without this Forum and the outstanding membership.

Thank you too all,

Tom

Tom,
5:30 a.m!!!!
and I thought I was the only one fool enough to do that!

Thanks for reminding me of my escapades.
My son was 10 at the time in 2010.
My car was modded by Doug Rippie Motorsports in 1994.
I calculated what needed to be removed in order to get over 94.1.
The last thing was the entire exhaust including cat eliminator pipes needed to be removed Saturday night before Sunday's judging.
Started at 9pm, my son trying to stay awake helping me best as he could.
Finally put him to bed at midnight.
I finally finished at 430 am.
Showered; laid in bed for an hour, showered again and drove to the event.
One of the best memories that I will ever have at all, and certainly one of the highlights of my 23 year relationship with ruby ZR-1.
I can only hope that yours was as meaningful and memorable as mine.
Funny, the following year I recall my son spending 4 hours at the regional trying to get the "shine" on the tires down enough to be right.
We still lost one point per tire for too much shine.
My son is now 18, and he , like I will remember those times forever.
I hope your memories are as pleasant and long lasting!
those are memories that I will never allow to fade or be forgotten!
Again, Congratulations!
Your score is one heck of an achievement!

99.2 is awesome. Bring her to Lakeland for a Regional Top Flight in February.

Beautiful car with a nice Green / Tan color combination. Cleaner than Tom states and really nicely prepared car. I just looked at my results from last year and I lost 0.9 Raw between Howie in the Hills and Lakeland so you have a great start.

Thanks for bringing the car out to the Florida Chapter Show!

JoelJoel,

Thank you for all your help and all the technical support that I needed. The car would not have done as well without your time and suggestions on how to prep the car for the chapter meet.

Thank you,

Tom

So now Tom goes for a Flight Judging at Lakeland and I go for real pain with the PV. Tom will succeed, I hope I do.

Joel,

Good luck. PV's are tough on a C-4.

Good Luck to Tom too!

Good luck with the Top Flight and PV!!!
Don’t forget to ask the ‘powers that be’ how
many ZR-1s have received Top Flight status.
Good luck with that too...
