Robert, Did you mean to say Cherokee NC? Thanks for the dates. I have a family reunion in northern KY the Sat. following BG. Looks like I will petition for two weeks off. I will have fresh brakes and tires and a bunch of tools. No breakdown again for me in 2019!

The Gathering will run from May 15 - 18. Still working the details of the event - will continue with the track time again this year for sure. We are looking to change up the venue this year to include at least one other driving event that everyone can join in..... and always looking for your ideas for seminars and activities members want.
Regards,
Mark

Mark, how about a road trip driving event? Quite a few years ago we had a road trip to a distillery. It was about an hour and a half of back roads driving, stop for lunch then a tour of the distillery finishing up in the tasting room, then back to the Holiday Inn. Can't remember exactly which distillery but it was very interesting to tour the cask storage buildings. (It was one whose history included most of their storage buildings burning in a fire and dumping whiskey into the nearby creek, which then burned for three days). Anyway it was one of the best events I recall and I think it is high time to do it again. --Bob

Bob, Ted briefed the Board about his intent to have a driving event/road trip at the Gathering this year - in conjunction with our 2019 theme - ‘The Legend Lives’ - focused on those who drive their ZR-1s and ‘Keep the Legend Alive’. This may include a drive to the distillery and/or a road rally. This is in addition to the track time we run on the MSP track. More to follow in the next few weeks.

Oh boy! Yes! This will be year 3 for Nina and I and still no ZR1 to bring..... but hey, you all have been so very kind and welcoming to us that this get together is a yearly MUST! Already had the time off approved as of the middle of last year! This time we plan on being present on day one! Will you all be sending the emails out early like the last couple of years?

Glad to hear things are rolling along, Dad and I are planning on attending again. I’m in the same boat as Young1 in regards to needing to put in for vacation....I’ll keep checking in to keep updated. Cant wait to see everyone again.....one suggestion, year before last the get togethers we had in the parking lot in the evenings was fun. Hanging out, having a few beers, telling stories and learning about everyone was one of the highlights.

And if a road trip to a few distilleries gets added, sure will be a blast sipping in the parking lot with a few Cubans to fire up.

The really good bourbon is in Frankfort!

Robert, Bob Lambe is the Registry’s new Events chair. I believe he is planning an event on Friday that Will be a whole day event with 4 distilleries and then a shorter one that could possibly include MM along with the karts at the motorsports track. He is working right now on details. Stay tuned.

AND...if ONE mountain run isn't enough, OR you can't make the one in the Appalachians in May, the second ROCKY MOUNTAIN RUN is in consideration - toward mid/late July or maybe August(?).
From attending both of these events, I can report they both offer scenes that are unique to their areas, and each can easily justify planning TWO different trips! Both of these are "MUST DO" events - well worth including in you driving activities for this coming driving season!

I plan on attending the C4 Gathering in May.
Any word on when registration for will open?
Also does the Registry have a block of rooms reserved yet?

Is there any official propaganda that I can post to their sites and Facebook pages/groups advertising the C4 Gathering other than from the NCM website? I’d really like to see a strong turnout this year for the Gathering as well as MR7 so I’d be happy to promote these events where I can but was hoping for a “poster” of some sorts to use.
