I just bought on Amazon a 104 pack of AC Delco 41-602 sparks plugs for $30.60! That is 13 plug changes! I can change them every other season past it's 50th birthday.

It appears they were all bought at $30.60 or that the price was raised to $200.92. Sorry.

Nope. I cut and pasted your link, and they are now listed at $200 - which ain't bad as a bulk purchase or GROUP BUY (e.g., WAZOO or FBI, etc.) item. That comes to $2.04/ea with 6% tax included (free shipping w/ Prime).

Dang. That is a killer deal. Glad it worked out for ya. But, apparently it is/was a time limited offer? IDK.
Same thing happened yesterday with my LED headlight post. Apparently, the offer was exhausted in a matter of minutes (sold out).
I suppose limited offers are a way to attract customers to "camp out" on their web site in order to take advantage of those limited quantity items(?). That is frustrating tho (as in this spark plug example) - boardering on "bait and switch" tactics, no?
Rant off.

How about a set of spark plugs instead of a T-shirt with membership renewal?

Stand them up on a two by four; for target practice.

Well, with a set only costing $21.67 with tax at AutoZone.... its not really expensive to change them out once a year...

YES! Exactly right!
The claim to fame for exotic, "rare earth" plugs is their durability. But! There inlies a potential problem: combined with their expense some may be tempted to stretch them out to get all the good out of them when they're PAST their PRIME. Whereas with the 41-602s being so inexpensive one can easily afford to always have fresh PRIME plugs in the motor: no need to put up with a long spell putting up with plugs past their prime either due to expense or a morbid curiosity to see how far they will last.;)

Considering the heads are aluminum I wouldn’t be to quick to replace the plugs on an annual bases.
