I need the lens, not the light housing.

All 4.

The car is pre-wired for euro-lenses & bulb housings, but has the standard taillights.

When I bought the car the prior owner was suppose to send them with other items but he never did.

Thank you,

Will these work for you? (see link below)
Not Euro lenses but available in red, clear and amber.
Can't beat the price and they appear to
be of good quality. Other than the color, ya gotta
look real close to see any difference from OEM lenses.
I just put the amber ones on my car (inboard). The
tentative plan is to rewire so they work only as directional/hazard lites
with outboard lites to be for tail and brake.
The clear lenses possibly with red tinted bulbs or LEDs may appeal to the Gen-X members of our organization?

They are for sale online "new" at about $150/each. +$600 for taillights.

A gentleman in England has them made new for European lighting conversations.

I was able to find two sets a few years ago in England. Try to contact the British Corvette Club, they should be able to find a set for you.
Good Luck,
Nelson

Those are the ones I have. Found them on a 94 convert sitting in front of a body shop for months and traded the guy.

You do know the housings as well as the light sockets are exclusive to the Euro lenses right?

Are u looking for properly working Euro lamps, or just the look?

I have the correct housing with dual bulbs and the correct wiring. I just have the wrong covers.

The prior owner for some odd reason never sent the lenses.

When I apply the brakes only the top two thirds light up.

Well I got a response and they have not had the lenses in 5 years.

I have no idea why the prior owner got rid of the lenses and kept the housings....seems like a crackhead move to me.

Says he would send them last year and never did along with a another idem.

Anyone have a set of Eurolenses?

Thank you.

Did you try contacting the previous owner recently for them?

I assume the project of making them did not work?

I have asked so many times I have given up asking.

I got the clear lenses but there is a section on the clear lenses that is not transparent so painting may be difficult. I would have to paint the lenses on the outside vs inside.

It looks really bad with the taillights not working properly.

Here's the car at Goodyear getting aligned with one of the taillights, which I fixed, and you can see the partial brake light illuminating 2/3 of the other brake light.

4 brake light that illuminate 2/3's of the red circle is really annoying to me.

might be easier to swap back to OEM..

might be easier to swap back to OEM..

I do not want to re-wire the lights and with my luck I will find a pair after going back to stock.

I am going to try the painting of the clear one's first.

-=Jeff=-
03-28-2019, 06:16 PM
you only need one pair? not all 4?

So have you looked to see if it is a added harness or if the OEM harness has been modded?

These are a tough find and by doing what you want, the lenses will probably be too small to fit the lens bucket. I have a pair of Euro Lenses, I need another pair as well..

Karl

I like the look. I may just buy a new set if painting the clear ones does not work out.

About 5 years ago I modify the original taillights because I live in Italy and the American version is not legal.
I cut 4 red lens and 4 white lens to create an European tail light with 4 light/brake and 2 flash per side.
I have picture, but I don't know how to post....
Where are you from Karl?

Karl
04-12-2019, 06:31 PM
I thought about cutting a set of orange and red lenses and mating them together.

You can post here https://postimages.org

I am in Chicago, IL

For me red and white is better than red and orange...
Is a very long work but really a big satisfy...

Max,

What adhesive did you use for gluing the lenses together?

max76
04-12-2019, 06:56 PM
I used loctite (rapid glue in gel) to connect the two lenses and the aluminium sheet for separate the two light.

But I use also a little bit of silicone to connect the two lenses with the house gasket. It's only to be sure to don't loose the lenses...

Karl
04-12-2019, 07:55 PM
What did you cut the lenses with?

max76
04-13-2019, 03:15 AM
To cut the lens I use a carpenter blade, like in the picture (I don't know the English name).
But, to have a perfect plane you must use sand paper with hard and plane support (I use an other carpenter instrument, in second pic)

I hope you understand what I write!!

Looks like I will be going this route for the lenses.

Thanks for the suggestion.

max76
04-14-2019, 05:48 AM
Yes...It's the most economical route to have European taillight...after that you must modify also the housing...I put the second hole with the new socket for the flash light (orange lamp)

-=Jeff=-
04-14-2019, 08:12 AM
That was my idea to try as well. Can you post a picture of them lit up?

max76
04-14-2019, 08:34 AM
This is a problem...I don't have any pic now on the phone, and it's difficult take a pic from the car...drill the housing is the most simple job...I do the hole under the original, the same diameter of the socket lamp...and I fixed it with betasil (it's the same glue for fix windshield to the car)

-=Jeff=-

Sorry Max, I was lol asking for a picture of the back of the car with the lights turned on, I can figure out the socket for the bulbs. I wanted to see how well the lights look when on
