Asked a friend who was traveling to the USA to grab me a couple of AC Delco PF970C oil filters while he was there. I told him that l only wanted AC Delco, but he arrived back here in Oz with a couple of Mopar MO-090 filters.
Question. Are they the right ones, and are they any good?🇦🇺

Quick check I don't see it listed as correct for the LT5

Is he an ex-friend? :-)

I think a ZR-1 might reject a Mopar oil filter (like an incompatible kidney).

Maybe it wouldn't be too hard for one of us to find them and ship to you.

Maybe if you're pressed for time, you can find something "good enough" locally to use for a short time, just a few miles.

Yep, it sure would have been easier to just toss one in his suitcase for you ...

Let us know.

I wonder how he came up with that selection? I wouldn't use them. Send him back for the right ones.

Ok.....I except your challenge :p

Cross Reference for Mopar MO-090 (http://www.oilfilter-crossreference.com/convert/MOPAR/MO-090)

I found the same Site for oil filter cross reference that -=Jeff=- did :handshak:

Regarding your Mopar MO-090 filters...….It appears that it does not match Mobile 1-M1-207 or AC Delco PF970C

But to Verify...…..
What is the outside diameter of the rubber seal of the oil filter? (it should be a flat seal and not an "O" ring).

What is the thread size in the Oil Filter?

And just for a casual interest......what is the height of the Oil Filter and do you have a photograph of the Oil Filter (Mopar MO-090)?

You have the Mopar MO-090 filters...….I do not. I use Mobile 1 M1-207 oil filters in all Zs.

I can tell you if you provide information if your Mopar MO-090 oil filter will fit but I cannot tell you if it is good or not :D

Thanks for the reply’s and the offer to source them for me. Since he arrived back here with the Mopar filters l have placed an order with Zip for various parts for my 61 c1 and the ZR-1 and l have 4 x AC Delco on the way. Cost me $20.00aud for a couple of filters I’ll never use.

When the holidays arrive, wrap them both nicely and gift them to your friend who picked them up.
Explain that inverted and water filled, they make a great holiday vase with some ribbon around them for that extra touch.
You might also give him the box top of the new Delco filter in case he comes back this way.

Happy to hear you soon will be good to go!

Perhaps l should see if they fit a local Jeep/dodge and offer them for sale to recoup some $. Oh well, not losing sleep over it.

Cheers, Russell 🇦🇺

No. It’s the only LHD ZR-1 in Australia. The other handful of them have been converted as per our laws that anything after 1988 has to be converted to RHD. Somehow mine entered Australia as a personal import under special circumstances and received a compliance plate, which makes it a legal LHD.
My 61 C1 is also LHD and l wouldn’t have them any other way
