Proverbial HVAC control problems

My HVAC switches on my 1990 Z have to worked fairly well for a number of years but now is not responding. I know there are threads on this problem. I am ready to remove the switches to correct the problem but I don’t know the details of removal or the fix. HELP please!

No, I just have to poke them several times to get them to respond. Everything else works great including the AC. I plan to drive the 25th caravan next August and My wife tells me they must be working👍!

Then it's probably just the button printboard rub you need. "Climate control repair, C4 corvette" on YouTube I think is the one to cover it.
