I'm sort of getting down to the "short hairs" on making sure everything works correctly on my '90.
The radio has not worked since I have had the car. In my anal way of thinking, I had to fix it just simply because it did not work.
After discussion the symptoms with Dr. Don, I pulled the DCM (THAT was NOT fun!) and sent it to the Doctor. Sure enough, it was fried or whatever they do. After re-installing (this was LESS fun), still inop on the radio. The Doctor tells me it has to be the amps. I pulled all 4 speakers and sent the complete assemblys to him. Told him to make sure all was well with everything.
Got 'em back, re-installed, and presto, beautiful sound from all speakers.
My issue is now that I have a wonderful sounding radio that I only listen to while the car is sitting in the shop!! Every time I go for a drive I turn the radio off so it does not interfere with the wonderful sound of the LT-5!!!
Discovered the CD does not work properly. Guess I'll get it fixed too.
