Crossed Flags Performance, LLC is within 6-8 weeks of opening our doors! Our market is exclusively powertrain and suspension performance upgrades for GM vehicles, all generations, including our beloved C4 ZR-1. Sitting on 2 acres, the new 5,000 sqft of custom designed facility, including a dedicated fabrication/porting shop as well as an engine building "clean room" is nearing completion. We will have three dedicated work cells, each with a Bendpak 10AS_LP lift and adjacent work area to allow separation of the body from the chassis.

We take delivery of a Dynocom 15000 2WD Dyno next week. This system contains a Frenelsa Eddy Brake capable of handling up to 3,500 hp and has expansion capacity to add another Frenelsa EB, bringing us to safe handling of 4,500 hp.

We have one of the top tuners as well as designer/fabricators in the industry on staff and are currently seeking and interviewing high quality technicians for a mid-september start-up.

We are located in Magnolia, TX, just north of Houston. I'm reaching out to my fellow LT-5 owners to let you know we have openings for technicians with a passion for high quality performance automotive work, that will gain not only superior technical skills, but will also learn to understand, that while what we do is important, it's not nearly as important as Why we do it.

If any of my ZR-1 brothers and sisters know of quality technician candidates that would like an opportunity in a great shop, please have them get in touch with me...

Yep, Mike and I have been to numerous shows together. We did meet at The Woodlands and at the show off of Spring Cypress early this year.

My son is on staff, but my partner is a close friend and enthusiast here in High Meadow Ranch..

Congrats Steve, great to have a shop in this area, especially with my mechanical ability. (None) A fall gathering is a great idea as we haven't done one in Houston area yet. As soon as you find a weekend to do it, let me know and I'll get David involved to promote on both forums.

According to the picture, it would appear that red 90's are also the most likely to break.

I know we're just having fun here, but statistics can be tricky - towit:

In the period preceding discovering the vaccine to prevent Polio, the soft drink Coka-Cola for a time appeared to be statistically linked to spread of the disease: In summer, the spike of consumption of "Coke" and Polio outbreaks tracked "hand-in-hand".

For some, it was a real Ah-HA! moment. But, later it was determined the disease was transmitted from the alimentary canal (gut) of the infected via water, e.g., public swimming pools! And, when do people most often swim, and what also makes people thirsty? Summertime (heat)! Poor ol' Coke just happened to be one of the more popular soft drinks, so some drew the false and premature conclusion that Coke and Polio were linked.[-X

So for those readers as yet unfamiliar with the ZR-1, Statistics (http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Information/General/ProdNumbersColors.aspx) from the Registry's web site should be considered before drawing any accidental conclusions about "Red" cars and 1990 ZR-1s in particular...

The vast majority - 44% of ALL ZR-1s are 1990 MY,
52% of 1990s were RED - nearly equal to the total production from '92 -95 combined
82% of ALL ZR-1s were made between 90-92 and their OE Multitec injectors were susceptible to alcohol fuel blends (relatively easy to fix tho).

So Paul, u r suggesting that the breakdown rate for “red ZR-1’s” is not disproportionate to the overall % of the ZR-1 population represented by those painted red. Any correlation of broken down ZR-1s and the color red is a spurious one in other words.
